Base Salary

$125k - $155k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Production teams to develop web-based and native frontend applications.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, demos, proposals, rapid prototyping, and iterative development.
  • Develop clean, maintainable, documented solutions and deploy applications according to studio standards.
  • Work with backend engineering teams using traces, metrics, and requirements to prioritize performance-related development.
  • Gather requirements, participate in user observation studies, and apply UX design methodologies to improve production workflows.
  • Provide technical and architectural guidance to more junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with production and the project manager on feature roadmaps for studio web applications.
  • Translate complex Pipeline feature sets and requirements into visual experiences.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of programming experience with technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, Java, and QT.
  • Proficiency with modern frontend application features and design goals.
  • Experience with modern frontend web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Experience implementing automated unit and end-to-end tests.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, state management, client-side performance, and REST/WebSocket API integration.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership to other engineers and strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is listed as an additional qualification.
  • Preferred experience includes UX principles, collaboration with UX/product/backend teams, computer animation or visual-effects production, UI portfolio work, internal npm modules, shared UI component libraries, and auditing AI developer tools such as GitHub Copilot.
