Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and improve Gradle build systems for fast, reliable, and scalable C/C++ builds.
- Lead evaluation, planning, and execution of third-party library, framework, and toolchain upgrades.
- Manage compatibility, stability, breaking changes, and remediation of security vulnerabilities in dependencies.
- Mentor and coach engineers in C/C++ development, build engineering, and dependency management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define engineering standards and resolve complex build and integration issues.
- Automate manual development lifecycle processes and reduce developer friction.
- Work with architecture specialists to identify and optimize opportunities for future products.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on C/C++ programming experience, including memory management, performance optimization, and systems-level development.
- Extensive hands-on Gradle experience, including build authoring, custom plugins, dependency management, build performance tuning, and native C++ integration.
- Proven experience managing third-party dependencies and toolchain upgrades in large-scale codebases.
- Solid understanding of compilers, linkers, and build toolchains such as GCC and Clang.
- 12+ years of professional hands-on coding experience, preferably with C/C++.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Preferred experience with object-oriented programming, concurrent programming, threading APIs, Windows, Linux, Android, debuggers, source code control systems such as GitHub, and profilers.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
