Responsibilities
- Oversee, design, review, build, and deploy test automation solutions and frameworks for complex software systems.
- Lead troubleshooting and triage of escalated system issues, identify root causes, resolve defects, and implement process improvements.
- Guide and mentor Test Automation Engineers to align automation solutions and scripts with established frameworks and industry standards.
- Collaborate with product management, project management, development teams, and business stakeholders on project, product, and testing objectives.
- Write and execute functional test cases as needed.
- Develop functional and regression automation solutions with reusable components across web, mobile, and API layers.
- Lead testing efforts for complex projects and applications and partner closely with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of test automation experience.
- Technical development experience with multiple programming or scripting languages, such as Java and Python, using Selenium or Playwright.
- Exposure to database technologies and SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
- Expertise independently identifying technical issues, including misconfigurations and code defects.
- Expert knowledge of test automation and software quality assurance throughout test planning, execution, and production support.
- Experience with a distributed version-control management system such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Preferred experience with JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, Appium, JMeter, SoapUI, and Playwright.
- Preferred knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD integration, including Jenkins, Maven, and Splunk.
- Preferred knowledge of non-functional testing, including performance, security, and accessibility testing.
- Exposure to insurance applications and functionality is preferred.
