Responsibilities

  • Design and publish security reference architectures for private, public-cloud, hybrid, single-tenant, and multi-tenant AI infrastructure.
  • Define defense-in-depth, tenant isolation, platform security, secrets and certificate management, network and storage security, and AI model and application security across the stack.
  • Research emerging security technologies and threats, prototype alternative designs, and publish internal or external technical findings.
  • Build, operate, and validate customer and partner proofs of concept on Mirantis lab hardware and customer sites.
  • Write automation, policies, and reproducible tooling using Python, Go, Bash, Ansible, Helm, Kubernetes manifests, Terraform, and policy-as-code.
  • Assess designs and deployments through threat modeling, configuration review, and hands-on testing, and convert findings into design guidance.
  • Serve as the security subject matter expert in customer discovery, architecture workshops, security reviews, questionnaires, and strategic opportunities.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and security partners and help shape the k0rdent AI product roadmap.
  • Present at conferences, webinars, partner summits, and hands-on workshops, and produce reference architectures, solution briefs, blog posts, and enablement content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in security engineering or security architecture, including at least 3 years securing cloud, Kubernetes, or large-scale infrastructure platforms.
  • Customer-facing experience as a solutions architect, pre-sales engineer, consultant, or technical lead.
  • Experience designing and operating secure deployments on at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as private cloud or bare-metal infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Linux hardening, secure boot, TPM, hypervisor and VM isolation, KubeVirt, Kubernetes security, multi-tenancy, secrets and key management, PKI, identity, network security, and storage security.
  • Working knowledge of Transformer-based model training, packaging, serving, and threats such as prompt injection, model exfiltration, and agent abuse.
  • Experience with software supply-chain security, image signing, SBOMs, vulnerability scanning, and SLSA concepts.
  • Programming or scripting experience in at least one language, with Python or Go preferred, plus familiarity with Git, CI, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, strong presentation and workshop skills, and the ability to communicate with engineers, security teams, CISOs, executives, and customers.
  • Experience working across international, distributed teams and time zones.
  • Preferred qualifications include compliance frameworks, confidential computing, remote attestation, GPU cloud or HPC security, DPUs, offensive security, Mirantis products, security certifications, open-source contributions, public speaking, standards participation, published research, CVEs, patents, or white papers.
