Base Salary
$144k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop reliable flight software controlling spacecraft, satellite buses, and reentry capsules throughout complete missions.
- Write structured bare-metal, RTOS-based, or Linux-based software in C++ for embedded processors.
- Own software design, development, testing, integration, verification, and validation.
- Scope projects, capture requirements, and perform initial design trades for open-ended problems.
- Support software quality, performance, and flight operations.
- Collaborate with the team to communicate and solve problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, physics, or engineering, or equivalent technical experience in safety-critical software.
- At least 3 years of experience developing spacecraft or similar safety-critical software.
- Experience developing in C++ and strong understanding of C++ language concepts.
- Preferred: end-to-end spacecraft building and launch experience.
- Preferred: real-time embedded systems development and testing experience.
- Preferred: aerospace safety-critical software experience.
- Preferred: experience with CCSDS telemetry and telecommand systems, F' or cFS, Python or Rust, analog and digital electronics, and SPI, I2C, CAN, or EtherCAT.
