Staff Developer (Python FastAPI, React)

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Python FastAPI backend services and REST APIs for MyAssets, FDDH, and product documentation platforms.
- Develop React front-end components with state management, responsive interfaces, and FastAPI integration.
- Write PostgreSQL queries, support schema updates, and assist with data migrations.
- Integrate with third-party documentation platforms such as Zoomin by consuming APIs, transforming data, and supporting publication workflows.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and support production releases across FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and React layers.
- Write reusable documented code, participate in code reviews, and maintain API, data flow, and test documentation.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and System Analysts to deliver solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD delivery practices using Azure DevOps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience with hands-on Python and React delivery.
- Proficiency building FastAPI REST services, including endpoint definitions, Pydantic models, request/response handling, and basic asynchronous patterns.
- Experience building React components with modern JavaScript, Redux or Context API, and REST backend integration.
- Experience consuming and building REST APIs with knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, JSON payloads, and JWT or API key authentication.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL, including queries, schemas, and relational data operations.
- Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tools, sprint-based delivery, and strong English communication skills.
- Preferred experience integrating third-party SaaS or documentation APIs such as Zoomin or Paligo.
- Preferred familiarity with product information, asset management, or documentation delivery platforms.
- Preferred exposure to FastAPI Background Tasks, Celery, or other Python task queuing patterns.
- Preferred experience with PyTest, Jest, or React Testing Library.
- Preferred basic familiarity with Docker and experience working in international, cross-time-zone Agile teams.
