Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain advanced Android applications, including Edison Mail, using Kotlin, Java, and modern Android frameworks.
- Collaborate with product managers and backend developers to define, design, and integrate robust APIs.
- Own features end-to-end from technical design and development through testing and release.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices for performance, security, and maintainability.
- Explore new Android technologies and contribute to architecture improvements.
- Optimize performance, analyze crashes, and tune power usage.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of working experience, including at least 5 years of hands-on Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, with solid computer science fundamentals.
- In-depth understanding of Android fundamentals, including Jetpack components, multithreading, networking, memory management, and data storage.
- Familiarity with MVC, MVVM, or VIPER architectural patterns.
- Experience with Volley, Glide, Lottie, and Firebase, including FCM.
- Nice to have experience with Google Play submission and review, SMTP or IMAP, Linux environments, backend services, or React Native.
