Responsibilities

Implement solutions addressing government changes and import/export data-compliance requirements in the USA and Mexico.
Manage, maintain, and update customs databases and in-house applications.
Automate internal processes and create or optimize reports for Mexico government requirements.
Gather requirements from end users and design, implement, and support foreign-trade solutions.
Develop, debug, and resolve issues in C# and JavaScript/React code.
Create and execute test scripts and robust test cases to ensure software quality.
Document implemented solutions, create user instructions, and review code before deployment.
Support customs-software users and create and follow up on supplier support tickets.
Research applicable regulatory and industry compliance standards and follow company security-code standards.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in a software-development role.
Expertise in C# development and SQL databases.
Experience with JavaScript/React, software testing, and test-driven development.
Knowledge of MS Visual Basic and strong standards for code quality, testing, and design.
Intermediate English proficiency and excellent customer-service, communication, collaboration, teamwork, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple facilities in Mexico, investigate and solve problems with minimal supervision, and communicate with nontechnical teams.
Preferred experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle; MS Office, Access, and Excel; Annex 24 software including ZOE, Vastera, and Prisma; customs processes; Datastage; and trade programs.
