Base Salary
$215k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deliver machine learning models and components for real-world business problems in collaboration with Product and Data Science teams.
- Make ML infrastructure decisions using knowledge of modeling techniques, data and feature selection, training, tuning, dimensionality, bias and variance, and validation.
- Write and test application code, develop and validate ML models, and automate testing and deployment.
- Create and enhance software supporting large-scale data and machine learning applications.
- Retrain, maintain, monitor, and operate models in production.
- Build or leverage cloud-based architectures and platforms to deliver optimized ML models at scale.
- Construct and scale data pipelines that feed, train, and evaluate ML models.
- Apply deployment automation, monitoring, governance, and responsible and explainable AI practices.
- Use programming languages including Python, Scala, or Java.
- Serve as a technical lead for ML solutions using industry best practices, patterns, and automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of programming experience with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
- At least 4 years of machine learning experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow and Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
- At least 4 years of experience using and operating large-scale distributed systems such as Spark or Ray to prepare AI/ML data.
- At least 2 years of experience deploying and operating machine learning solutions in production and operating cloud production services using AWS, GCP, or Azure and Kubernetes.
- Preferred: master’s or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred: 3 or more years optimizing ML algorithms, configurations, and infrastructure; applying software development practices; building resilient production software; working with ML techniques, architectures, and evaluation; and designing and scaling production-ready ML data pipelines.
- Preferred: 1 or more years as a technical lead developing ML solutions.
- Preferred: authorship or co-authorship of a paper on an ML technique, model, or proof of concept.
