Software Engineer
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework.
- Build front-end experiences with JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS.
- Own end-to-end delivery from requirements and design through implementation, automated testing, performance optimization, and deployment.
- Design for reliability, scalability, and security in AWS and containerize services with Docker.
- Design schemas, optimize queries, and tune performance across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Implement and improve logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence.
- Apply secure development practices including SAST, DAST, and remediation of findings.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into product features and developer workflows where appropriate.
- Mentor and coach engineers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate with product, UX, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM major.
- 2 to 5 years of advanced software engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of C# and .NET, RESTful API and microservices development, JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS.
- Strong SQL skills across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Experience with unit, integration, and UI test automation.
- Cloud experience with AWS or Azure.
- Ability to lead initiatives and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
- Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Windows and Unix/Linux programming experience, energy-domain software experience, Scrum Master or Product Owner certification, monitoring and logging experience, DevOps and CI/CD tooling experience, load/performance testing, secure development practices, and practical AI skills.
