Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
  • Execute test cases and document results in a test management tool.
  • Identify manual test cases that are suitable for automation.
  • Collaborate with QA Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners in an Agile team.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and team discussions.
  • Configure and manage test data across testing environments.
  • Review test coverage against business requirements and user stories.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and debugging test failures.

Requirements

  • Be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-op program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Have exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
  • Have familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Have an interest in coding and computer programming; prior JavaScript or Python experience is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with Zephyr or JIRA is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts is an asset.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI is an asset.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured is an asset.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving, communication, prioritization, integrity, discretion, and eagerness to learn.
  • Must be enrolled in a co-op program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
