Responsibilities
- Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.
- Execute test cases and document results in a test management tool.
- Identify manual test cases that are suitable for automation.
- Collaborate with QA Engineers, Developers, and Product Owners in an Agile team.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and team discussions.
- Configure and manage test data across testing environments.
- Review test coverage against business requirements and user stories.
- Assist with troubleshooting and debugging test failures.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary co-op program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Have exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Have familiarity with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Have an interest in coding and computer programming; prior JavaScript or Python experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience with Zephyr or JIRA is an asset.
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts is an asset.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI is an asset.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured is an asset.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, communication, prioritization, integrity, discretion, and eagerness to learn.
- Must be enrolled in a co-op program at a recognized post-secondary institution.
