Responsibilities
- Assist engineers with various engineering assignments and assigned tasks.
- Carry out basic work instructions and learn company fundamentals, methods, programs, and practices.
- Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision.
- Gather and assemble data for engineers.
- Support research in a particular field when required.
- Perform design analysis and calculations under supervision.
- Assist engineers with appropriate design details.
- Communicate and support the organization’s mission, values, and culture.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Currently pursuing an engineering degree with some progress toward the degree.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a professional network.
- Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn.
- Good understanding of software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux, with some experience on Windows.
- Good understanding of multithreading and multiprocessing concepts.
- Preferred: experience developing embedded Linux drivers for TCP/IP, UART, I²C, PCIe, and other interfaces.
- Preferred: experience with Git, Jira, peer code reviews, and modern software development practices.
