Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with various engineering assignments and assigned tasks.
  • Carry out basic work instructions and learn company fundamentals, methods, programs, and practices.
  • Conduct limited-scope testing under engineer supervision.
  • Gather and assemble data for engineers.
  • Support research in a particular field when required.
  • Perform design analysis and calculations under supervision.
  • Assist engineers with appropriate design details.
  • Communicate and support the organization’s mission, values, and culture.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Currently pursuing an engineering degree with some progress toward the degree.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a professional network.
  • Diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn.
  • Good understanding of software development using C/C++ and Python on Linux, with some experience on Windows.
  • Good understanding of multithreading and multiprocessing concepts.
  • Preferred: experience developing embedded Linux drivers for TCP/IP, UART, I²C, PCIe, and other interfaces.
  • Preferred: experience with Git, Jira, peer code reviews, and modern software development practices.
