Responsibilities

  • Contribute to software development lifecycle activities including requirements analysis, application design, implementation, integration, testing, configuration management, database development, and system monitoring.
  • Develop software using languages such as Java, C, C++, C#, and Python, with assignments varying by team and skill set.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces for aerospace applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where assigned to On Wing Technology.
  • Support engineering toolchains through issue triage, root cause analysis, enhancement implementation, verification, documentation, and technical reporting.
  • Support test systems, software releases, digital transformation, reporting dashboards, web applications, process improvements, and data strategy activities depending on assignment.

Requirements

  • Currently studying a relevant Computer Science, Web Development, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, Embedded Software, or related bachelor’s or integrated master’s degree.
  • Programming experience in at least one of C#, Java, or Python, with willingness to work across multiple languages.
  • On course to achieve a 2:1 degree or above.
  • Currently in the penultimate year of study and returning to education after the placement.
  • Must obtain and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organisational, teamwork, ownership, and deadline-management skills are desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is desired.
