Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and contribute to feature and component requirements.
  • Design new software subsystems or enhance existing subsystems to meet requirements.
  • Plan implementation timelines and resources while balancing requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.
  • Implement and document software code that meets design requirements.
  • Develop unit test plans, test suites, test cases, and automated tests for functional coverage.
  • Investigate and resolve software anomalies and determine their root causes.
  • Lead integration of components and solve subsystem problems to produce final products.
  • Participate in document, design, code, test case, and user documentation reviews.
  • Maintain the integrity of one or more software subsystems.
  • Collaborate with peers, global teams, customers, and partners while communicating updates and resolutions.
  • Research new technologies and standards and pursue relevant professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience with data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, and design patterns.
  • Direct experience with C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages.
  • Experience architecting modular software and testing integrated software products.
  • Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, GitLab, Make, and build systems.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
  • Industrial automation industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience with AI-enabled software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor is preferred.
