Base Salary
$168k - $244k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop large-scale solutions for mining challenging autonomous-driving scenarios to improve learned model performance.
- Collaborate with ML infrastructure teams on continuous-learning workflows involving scenario mining, error analysis, training, and deployment.
- Research methods for extracting uncertainty and informativeness indicators to automatically identify challenging scenes.
- Analyze model uncertainty, generalization, and robustness using statistical methods.
- Conduct deep-learning experiments and write technical reports.
- Provide guidance to junior researchers on research projects and design-document reviews.
- Architect and ship high-performance, large-scale distributed systems for real-world robotics applications.
- Perform system and software design, project management, SQL-based data analysis, data modeling, and dashboarding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related technical field.
- Five years of post-bachelor’s industry experience.
- Industry experience with Python and production-quality software development.
- Experience with configuration management, source control, build processes, code reviews, testing methodologies, application containerization, and continuous integration.
- Experience with core AWS services, including S3, RDS, Athena, Redshift, or EKS.
- Experience with a DBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or SQLite.
- Experience writing SQL queries for data analysis, data modeling, and dashboarding with Looker or Redash.
- Experience architecting and shipping high-performance, large-scale distributed systems in real-world robotics applications.
- Experience conducting system and software design, project management, and agile methodologies.
