Responsibilities
- Own test plans, test cycles, test strategies, and manual and automated testing for product functionality.
- Define and maintain automation frameworks, prepare test reports, and summarize manual and automated test results.
- Review product requirements and design specifications to align software development and test plans.
- Plan hardware and test setups, create test JIGs, and troubleshoot testing equipment and environments.
- Supervise and technically guide manual and automation test team members by planning and assigning tasks.
- Perform module, system-level, and end-to-end verification and validation across hardware, software, and firmware.
- Support architecture and independent module ownership, process improvements, and configuration management.
- Resolve technical issues and support the team during technical challenges.
- Follow information security policies, product security standards, licensing requirements, and incident-reporting procedures.
Requirements
- BE degree in CSE, ECE, EIE, ETC, or a related listed discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years of system testing, application software testing, or verification and validation experience using both manual and automated methods.
- Strong experience with software quality assurance metrics, defect profiles, and entry/exit criteria.
- Understanding of software analysis, design, and testing techniques, including V&V in product-based environments.
- Experience with network protocols, lab environments, hardware setups, embedded product testing, and hardware, software, and firmware integration.
- Basic hands-on experience with analog and digital electronics and microcontroller or microprocessor peripherals.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, variable power supplies, multimeters, and similar hardware measurement tools.
- Ability to create test JIGs, troubleshoot them, and define test automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Experience with product regulatory or certification standards such as UL, ULC, or IEC is preferred.
- ISTQB Foundation or Advanced Level certification is preferred.
- Web or cloud product-domain experience is an added advantage.
