Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and complete automated functional and non-functional tests for Web UIs and Web Services.
- Build tests that run automatically in GitLab testing pipelines and execute tests in integrated environments when required.
- Capture test execution status and evidence in Zephyr or another Test Management system.
- Analyze test failures and raise defects in JIRA or another defect-tracking tool.
- Collaborate with global teams to understand requirements, design tests, implement automation, and diagnose defect root causes.
- Champion automation across testing and deployment while working within cybersecurity and production controls in a regulated financial environment.
Requirements
- Practical experience designing automated tests for Web UIs and ideally Web Services.
- Expert-level experience with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Practical experience with UI testing frameworks such as Cypress for automated Web application testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter.
- Linux skills for executing applications, manipulating configuration and test-data files, and analyzing logs and reports.
- Helpful experience with Java-based backend services, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, CI/CD pipeline engineering, SQL, and Oracle databases.
