Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and complete functional and non-functional automated tests for Web UIs and Web Services.
- Build and maintain automated tests in GitLab testing pipelines.
- Engineer and execute tests in integrated environments for complex or cross-platform scenarios.
- Capture test execution status and evidence in a test-management system such as Zephyr.
- Analyze test breaks, diagnose root causes, and raise defects in tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Collaborate with global teams on requirements, test design, implementation, and defect resolution.
- Champion automation across testing and deployment to improve delivery speed and quality.
Requirements
- Practical experience designing automated tests for Web UIs and ideally Web Services.
- Expert-level experience with test automation frameworks such as Cucumber.
- Practical experience with UI testing frameworks such as Cypress for automated Web Application testing.
- Experience with performance-testing tools such as JMeter.
- Linux skills for executing applications, manipulating configuration and test-data files, and analyzing logs and reports.
- Ability to work in a regulated financial environment with a focus on cybersecurity and production controls.
- Understanding of Java-based backend services, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture is beneficial.
- Experience engineering CI/CD pipelines for test-environment setup and test execution is beneficial.
- SQL skills for querying Oracle databases and verifying system outputs are beneficial.
