Responsibilities
- Design and build production agent systems with tool calling, sub-agent orchestration, memory and context management, and multi-step reasoning workflows.
- Partner directly with business stakeholders to identify high-impact use cases and co-design agentic solutions.
- Build and tune RAG pipelines grounded in enterprise data, including retrieval strategies, embeddings, and relevance and faithfulness evaluation.
- Build evaluation harnesses, observability, monitoring, cost controls, authentication, logging, and failure handling into agent systems.
- Take solutions from proof of concept to production deployment on established cloud and platform patterns.
- Contribute reusable architecture patterns to shared libraries and ensure solutions deploy into the governed agent catalog.
- Collaborate with platform and integration teams on production deployment and governance.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years building and operating production LLM-powered or agentic systems.
- Hands-on experience with at least one agentic framework such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or MCP-based orchestration.
- Strong Python fundamentals and experience building APIs with FastAPI or similar tools.
- End-to-end RAG architecture experience, including chunking, embeddings, vector databases, and retrieval-quality tuning.
- Cloud-native deployment experience on AWS, including ECS, Fargate, Lambda, or Bedrock.
- Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders to scope and define business use cases.
- Understanding of production-ready agent systems, including observability, cost control, failure handling, and evaluation methodology.
- Experience with LLM observability and evaluation tools such as Langfuse, LangSmith, Arize, or MLflow is preferred.
- Experience with MCP or A2A agent-to-agent communication patterns is preferred.
- Experience designing reusable architecture patterns adopted across teams is preferred.
- Experience establishing engineering practices in a small or fast-moving team is preferred.
