Responsibilities
- Define engineering strategy and design greenfield solutions for core payment product systems.
- Design and implement BIAN APIs and specifications.
- Lead API, backend, data, and cloud engineering teams.
- Architect robust, supportable solutions using a Design to Run mindset.
- Provide technical guidance through business case, ideation, discovery, inception, and enhancement phases.
- Collaborate with solution architects, subject-matter experts, and upstream and downstream system representatives to deliver integrated solutions.
- Develop target-state architectures, challenge business leaders on technology choices, and align solutions with enterprise strategy.
- Lead engineering capabilities spanning development, build, test automation, deployment, monitoring, logging, service management, and orchestration.
- Identify continuous-improvement opportunities and deliver reliable, maintainable applications.
- Debug complex technical issues involving multiple system components.
Requirements
- 14–16 years of experience with Java/J2EE and scripting languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python.
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, IAM roles and policies, Elastic Beanstalk, Fargate, VPC, subnets, route tables, and load balancers.
- Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, SonarQube or SonarCloud, TeamCity or Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Splunk, ObservInc, AppDynamics, and CloudWatch Canary.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, software implementation best practices, and object-oriented design principles.
- Ability to debug complex technical issues across multiple system components.
- Ability to work in and participate in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or a similar discipline.
