Base Salary
$105k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-team development of middleware patterns and runtimes for interoperability and multi-tenant scale.
- Define versioning, deprecation, API lifecycle, compatibility, and safe rollout strategies.
- Establish observability baselines, SLOs, error budgets, resilience patterns, monitoring, and availability improvements across services.
- Design, implement, test, debug, troubleshoot, profile, and optimize scalable software and APIs.
- Contribute to software architecture, architectural standards, secure coding, maintenance, patching, and system reliability.
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, code reviews, mentoring, and hiring recommendations.
- Create migration guides, adoption playbooks, design documentation, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to resolve complex issues and guide product enhancements.
- Coordinate moderately complex projects, timelines, deliverables, and work across multiple initiatives.
Requirements
- Advanced software engineering knowledge covering architecture, scalable systems, APIs, interoperability, performance optimization, testing, observability, and secure coding.
- Demonstrated ability to lead platform initiatives across multiple teams and provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
- Experience diagnosing complex cross-service, application, integration, maintenance, and customer-reported issues.
- Ability to define and enforce versioning, deprecation, compatibility, rollout, resilience, and operational standards.
- Ability to coordinate projects, collaborate with stakeholders, document technical solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
- Experience with software development lifecycle practices, code reviews, debugging, monitoring, quality assurance, and system maintenance.
