Responsibilities
- Apply survey, GIS, and field-workflow knowledge to guide product development and define user workflows.
- Perform exploratory testing, design test cases, and execute testing plans for software and geospatial products.
- Build and expand automated testing frameworks by writing code that simulates end-user operations.
- Track, analyze, and report automated test results.
- Lead feature and enhancement projects across geospatial hardware and software portfolios.
- Partner with customers and beta users to gather product insights and improve user experiences.
- Collaborate with product marketing and engineering teams on educational and promotional content.
- Use GNSS receivers, total stations, laser scanners, and related equipment in product testing.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in land surveying, geomatics engineering, civil engineering, surveying, photogrammetry, remote sensing, mining, construction, or a related field.
- Understand basic field survey practices, terminology, and office and field survey workflows.
- Have computer skills including test design, databases, Excel, and networking principles.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
- Have organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet project deadlines and collaborate with remote and in-person teams.
- Be available full time for a 12-month commitment beginning in May or June, with the specific start year depending on the opening.
- Practical surveying experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with C# and automated testing frameworks is advantageous.
- Experience with Esri products, ArcGIS, spatial databases, Trimble hardware, Trimble Access, or Trimble Business Center is advantageous.
- Experience troubleshooting technical hardware or software tools is advantageous.
- Experience with deep learning, large language models, and other AI techniques and tools is advantageous.
