Responsibilities

  • Apply surveying and GIS knowledge to guide product development and define user workflows.
  • Execute exploratory testing, design test cases, and support high-quality software releases.
  • Build automated testing frameworks by writing code that simulates end-user operations.
  • Track, analyze, and report automated test results.
  • Lead feature and enhancement projects across geospatial hardware and software portfolios.
  • Partner with customers and beta users to gather product insights and refine user experiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering teams on educational and promotional content.
  • Develop and execute testing plans using GNSS equipment, total stations, and laser scanners.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in land surveying, geomatics engineering, or a related field, or studying civil engineering, surveying, geomatics, photogrammetry, remote sensing, mining, or construction.
  • Understanding of office and field survey workflows, field survey practices, and related terminology.
  • Computer skills including test design, databases, Excel, and networking principles.
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
  • Organization, time management, collaboration, curiosity, and a proactive mindset.
  • Full-time availability for a 12-month commitment beginning in May or June 2026 or May or June 2027, depending on the internship track.
  • Practical surveying experience, C# programming, automated testing frameworks, GIS platforms, spatial databases, Trimble hardware or software, technical troubleshooting, deep learning, large language models, and other AI techniques are preferred.
