Base Salary
$96k - $154k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed with assigned public safety agencies to understand their missions, workflows, systems, priorities, and operational friction.
- Translate customer problems into technical requirements, success criteria, and opportunities for AI, automation, data, and Axon capabilities.
- Build, configure, test, debug, and iterate applications, dashboards, workflows, and automations using Axon products and approved tools.
- Move solutions into customer use, drive adoption, measure results, and document reusable solutions.
- Maintain an onsite presence as the agency’s technical resource and coordinate complex technical issues and deployments across Axon teams.
- Capture customer insights, recurring needs, and platform limitations to inform Product, Engineering, and broader Mission Engineering teams.
Requirements
- Typically 3–5+ years of experience in solutions engineering, software engineering, systems, technical consulting, implementation engineering, or another hands-on technical role.
- Demonstrated foundational software engineering capability and experience building technical solutions.
- Working knowledge of APIs, scripting or programming, data, testing, debugging, and modern development practices.
- Understanding of AI concepts and practical applications, with the ability to learn emerging platforms and tools quickly.
- Ability to solve ambiguous problems and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Customer-facing mindset and curiosity about organizational operations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS compliance and satisfy applicable agency background requirements.
- Ability to maintain the onsite presence required by the engagement.
- Preferred experience with Python, JavaScript, SQL, REST APIs, cloud platforms, modern frameworks, AI platforms, workflow automation, low-code development, data, or public safety and other mission-critical environments.
