Responsibilities
- Implement and unit-test defined components of the Linux-to-Android migration, including HAL glue code, native services, and application-layer components.
- Port vehicle-network interfaces such as CAN, CAN-FD, UDS, and DoIP to Vehicle HAL extensions or AIDL/HIDL services.
- Help maintain the AOSP repository and manifest, device tree, Android build system, and local build/test environments for target TCU hardware.
- Run and extend regression tests comparing Linux and Android implementations, and help triage discrepancies.
- Reproduce and debug issues from bench and vehicle-level testing, document root causes and fixes, and maintain migration records.
- Assist with SELinux policy changes and Android permission configuration under senior-engineer review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field; recent graduates are welcome.
- 0–2 years of software development experience, with solid fundamentals in C/C++ and Linux; coursework, internships, and personal or academic projects count.
- Basic understanding of Android development concepts, Java or Kotlin, and the Android build system.
- Familiarity with Git and basic command-line tooling.
- Ability to read and debug existing code and communicate clearly through bug reports, test notes, and status updates.
- Preferred: exposure to AOSP, HAL/VHAL, AIDL/HIDL, vehicle-network protocols, embedded Linux, Yocto, Buildroot, unit-testing frameworks, GDB, or JTAG.
