Base Salary
$130k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full life cycle of user-facing applications, from design and implementation through testing and production.
- Develop a strong understanding of the business, industry, codebase, and systems.
- Write, test, instrument, and deploy high-quality code with strong test coverage to a Kubernetes environment.
- Help drive ZipRecruiter’s innovation and evolution.
- Develop deeper specialization in Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a full-time Computer Science or related technical degree program with an expected graduation date in 2027, or be a recent graduate from Spring 2025 through Fall 2026.
- Demonstrate a software engineering foundation through prior internship experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Be fluent in at least one general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
- Have an interest in specializing in Big Data, Full Stack, or Machine Learning.
- Be able to work a hybrid schedule from the Santa Monica headquarters.
- Preferred qualifications include fluency in multiple programming languages, experience with relational and non-relational databases, and exposure to React, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
- Preferred qualifications also include analytical and problem-solving skills, self-direction, and experience creating intuitive user experiences.
