Responsibilities

Extend and maintain a large production-grade codebase with a focus on clean code, testing, and maintainability.
Design and implement scalable, resilient solutions with modular architecture, clear boundaries, observability, performance, and reliability.
Modernize legacy components supporting fraud detection and risk analysis.
Lead architectural discussions, make technical decisions, set quality standards, and reduce technical debt.
Own the full software lifecycle from design and development through deployment, operation, and iteration.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers in a cross-functional team.
Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and technical leadership.

Strong experience with TypeScript and modern React and Next.js.
Strong experience building production systems with .NET, preferably .NET Core or modern .NET.
Strong engineering fundamentals in clean code, testing, system design, and performance.
Experience operating production systems and learning from real-world feedback.
Ability to take ownership of outcomes, solve complex problems, and work with or modernize legacy systems.
Experience using AI and generative AI to improve engineering productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize workflows.

The base salary range is CAD 140,000–CAD 190,000.
