Base Salary

$117k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own ML solutions across data and feature pipelines, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Build perception and computer-vision systems for detection, segmentation, and recognition using real-world robotic sensor data.
  • Ship reliable machine-learning systems to production and collaborate with robotics and software engineers on downstream model use.
  • Improve training data and models using field data collected from robots.
  • Use the AWS ML stack, including SageMaker AI, Bedrock, S3-based pipelines, and GPU training on EC2.
  • Serve as a technical lead for robotics innovations deployed in next-generation data centers.
  • Travel approximately 30% to AWS offices, data centers, suppliers, vendors, and product validation tests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience, including shipping machine learning to production.
  • Strong software engineering and debugging skills with fluency in Python.
  • Hands-on experience owning problems across the full ML stack, including data and feature pipelines, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon SageMaker AI, Amazon Bedrock, S3-based data or feature pipelines, and GPU training on EC2, or equivalent technologies.
  • Computer vision or perception experience involving detection, segmentation, or recognition on real-world sensor data such as RGB and point-cloud data.
  • Preferred experience as the sole or lead ML engineer on a team, familiarity with robotics data and tooling such as ROS 2, MCAP, sensor fusion, and edge deployment, and experience fine-tuning or evaluating open models or LLMs and building evaluation harnesses.
