Base Salary
$175k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor one direct report, including setting priorities, providing feedback, and supporting career development.
- Plan and conduct research, evaluation, validation, and testing of cybersecurity hardware, software, systems, devices, and engineering prototypes.
- Apply defensive cyber operations experience to assess mission needs, operational constraints, and candidate solutions.
- Conduct hands-on technical analysis, testing, and technical problem resolution.
- Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations to customers, leadership, and engineering teams.
- Coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements and align work with mission needs.
- Support vulnerability research when required by customer needs.
- Document evaluation and testing activities and contribute to repeatable technical processes.
- Participate in performance management and hiring as needed.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant professional experience in areas such as incident response, vulnerability research, network engineering, or software development, or comparable experience and education.
- Experience supervising or leading technical staff, including setting priorities and mentoring personnel.
- Experience supporting military or government defensive cyber missions.
- Experience researching, evaluating, or validating cybersecurity hardware or software solutions.
- Experience planning and conducting technical testing of systems, devices, or engineering prototypes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility or access (TS/SCI).
- Preferred qualifications include experience with cyber operations platforms, defensive tools, network technologies, security monitoring systems, specialized network sensors, FPGA-based firewalls, Rust or Python software, engineering R&D, prototype transition, vulnerability assessment or research methods, and military or government contract delivery.
