Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage security tools, systems, and processes protecting infrastructure, applications, and data.
  • Partner with engineering and security teams to embed security best practices.
  • Automate security tooling, including SIEM log ingestion and routing.
  • Manage firewalls and networks across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct infrastructure security assessments using tools such as CIS benchmarks.
  • Provide on-call availability for high-priority incidents when required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and platform-engineering concepts, including networking, cloud security, CI/CD pipelines, virtualization, and infrastructure as code.
  • Software development experience using Linux or WSL.
  • Experience with SIEM and log-routing tools such as Splunk, Sentinel, Cribl, and ELK.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP services.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with IDS/IPS solutions, vulnerability management, endpoint security, or SOC teams.
  • Familiarity with AI hardening techniques and infrastructure-as-code technologies such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Bicep.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to satisfy BPSS and client security-clearance requirements, typically including five years of continuous UK address history and British passport-holder status without dual nationality at application.
