Responsibilities
- Contribute to a cross-functional team designing, developing, testing, reviewing, and releasing new software features.
- Participate in system design activities and code reviews.
- Use AWS infrastructure and services in daily development work.
- Apply AI tools judiciously for prototyping, coding, testing, debugging, and understanding software.
- Learn and follow Ibotta’s software development processes and participate in internship teach-outs.
Requirements
- Be a junior working toward a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and implement ideas from start to finish.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and an eagerness to learn and collaborate.
- Have exposure to multiple languages and frameworks, including Python, Java, Ruby, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Understand software testing and CI/CD concepts.
- Have familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, distributed architectures, database design, and query concepts.
- Have exposure to AI tools used for prototyping, writing, testing, debugging, and comprehending code.
- Be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States and live in the United States.
