Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the organization’s versioned React, Tailwind, and headless design system published as NPM packages.
- Design strongly typed reusable component APIs and build accessible, responsive, performant React interfaces.
- Develop CMS-driven marketing and landing-page experiences that enable content authors to assemble pages.
- Contribute to Laravel APIs and backend development, including Node.js RESTful APIs and SQL databases.
- Integrate marketing, analytics, CMS, and other third-party digital tools and APIs securely and reliably.
- Evaluate technical vendors based on API quality, integration effort, reliability, and lock-in.
- Translate Figma designs into reusable accessible components and collaborate with design, product, and backend engineering.
- Implement testing strategies spanning unit, component, and end-to-end testing.
- Work with GitHub Actions, Docker-based workflows, web performance optimization, SEO, structured data, and CMS architecture.
- Mentor engineers and help set architectural direction without direct people-management responsibility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and/or a high school diploma/GED.
- Minimum of five years of professional full-stack development experience with a strong focus on frontend UI.
- Strong hands-on experience with Tailwind and React.js.
- Strong JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals, including strict mode, generics, discriminated unions, and type narrowing.
- Solid foundation in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on coding experience in PHP and backend development using SQL or SQL databases.
- Experience architecting and shipping backend RESTful APIs using Node.js.
- Experience with DevOps and cloud platforms, performance best practices, and common software development tools and processes.
- Familiarity with React meta-frameworks, design systems, monorepos, rendering architectures, client-side data and routing, third-party integrations, accessibility, testing, CI/CD, Docker, SEO, and CMS fundamentals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Preferred experience includes Adobe Experience Manager, Maven modules, Java, Apache Sling Models, JCR/Oak, leading a development team or serving as a tech lead, GTM, GA4, OneTrust, Search Console, Laravel/PHP, serverless architecture, DNS/CDN, secrets management, Sentry, APM, and structured logging.
