Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable AML product features and modules.
- Document AML data mapping from source systems to AML systems.
- Translate AML rules and regulatory requirements into technical specifications with compliance and risk teams.
- Implement and optimize transaction monitoring, alert generation, case management, and customer risk-scoring capabilities.
- Integrate AML products with sanctions lists, watchlists, transaction feeds, and other internal and external data sources.
- Improve product performance through data analysis, detection tuning, and workflow refinement.
- Work with data scientists and analysts to implement machine-learning models and analytics for suspicious-activity detection.
- Provide technical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Ensure product security, data privacy, audit readiness, QA, UAT, and release-management support.
- Document system designs, processes, and code, and stay current with AML regulations and industry trends.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience focused on financial crime, AML, or regulatory technology products.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or C#.
- Two to five years of experience with AML software platforms such as Actimize, SAS, NICE, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of BSA, FATF, OFAC sanctions, AML regulatory requirements, and risk typologies.
- Familiarity with transaction monitoring, alert workflows, case management, and KYC/CDD processes.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, APIs, and external data-service integrations.
- Understanding of machine-learning or AI applications in AML.
- Preferred exposure to Actimize SAM and CDD modules and ETL tools such as Ab Initio.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, critical-thinking, and mentoring abilities.

- Occasional commuting or travel to Hyderabad or regional hubs may be required for meetings, training, and culture events.
