Responsibilities
- Build and support critical markets infrastructure for the ASX 24 Futures Exchange.
- Support vendor-developed and in-house trading software in predominantly Linux environments.
- Perform build activities and provide L3 support during production incidents.
- Develop automation tooling using shell scripting, Python, or Perl.
- Troubleshoot server, network, and relational database issues.
- Contribute to data engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Perform non-functional testing in QA environments.
- Work across on-premises and cloud environments.
Requirements
- Deep experience working in low-latency, limited-downtime electronic trading environments.
- Practical experience supporting complex trading systems in Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience writing Shell, Python, or Perl scripts.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals and network troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of relational databases.
- Experience with public or private cloud environments and virtual computing concepts.
- Experience with packet capture tooling such as Corvill.
- Experience with data warehouses and data lakes.
- Candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia permanently without restrictions.
