Responsibilities
- Drive technical innovation and adoption of cloud technologies, standards, and platform engineering practices.
- Provide architectural guidance for cloud migrations, modernization, enterprise AWS solutions, and multi-account architectures.
- Design and manage AWS Control Tower and Organizations environments, reference architectures, FinOps practices, and cost optimization.
- Build Terraform frameworks and define Ansible standards, policy enforcement, and Policy as Code using AWS Config.
- Implement DevSecOps, security-by-default architectures, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, compliance automation, and security controls.
- Design CI/CD pipelines, artifact management standards, blue-green deployments, canary deployments, monitoring platforms, and observability capabilities.
- Use CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK with AIOps, anomaly detection, and automated remediation capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership, architecture reviews, risk mitigation, documentation, mentoring, and cross-team technical influence.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of DevSecOps or cloud engineering experience with deep hands-on technical expertise.
- At least 5 years architecting enterprise-scale AWS solutions in production environments.
- Expertise with AWS services including VPC, Transit Gateway, IAM, SSO, EC2, EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, X-Ray, Inspector, Security Hub, Config, Control Tower, and Organizations.
- Expert-level Terraform experience covering modules, workspaces, state backends, and policy integration, plus Ansible experience with roles, collections, and automation at scale.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI and complex CI/CD pipeline architectures.
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, SAST, DAST, secrets management, Policy as Code, and compliance automation.
- Production Kubernetes or EKS experience, including cluster management, service mesh, and security.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, observability, and AIOps capabilities using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or ELK.
- Programming experience with Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
- Strong presentation, documentation, collaboration, and technical influence skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Security Specialty, CKA, CKS, or Terraform Associate/Professional certifications.
- Preferred experience includes regulated environments, GxP, HIPAA, SOC 2, multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures, serverless architectures, AI/ML platforms, Platform Engineering, SRE principles, and FinOps frameworks.
