Responsibilities
- Build and maintain features across production Node.js and Elixir applications.
- Develop TypeScript or JavaScript single-page applications, HTTP APIs, backend services, and SQL-backed systems.
- Translate complex manufacturing and operational workflows into clear, maintainable software with product designers, domain experts, and engineers.
- Write tests, provide substantive code review feedback, and debug production issues using monitoring and logging tools.
- Collaborate in design processes and grow proficiency in Elixir and functional programming.
Requirements
- At least 6 years in a senior software role working across the entire web stack.
- At least 5 years writing production JavaScript or TypeScript single-page applications using React or a similar framework.
- At least 4 years building and maintaining robust HTTP APIs and backend services.
- At least 4 years developing complex applications with SQL-based database solutions such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with functional programming concepts through Elixir, Haskell, Clojure, Scala, or equivalent interest in learning them.
- Discipline in testing and a strong interest in code quality and maintainability.
- Preferred qualifications include manufacturing or environmental systems experience, Elixir or Erlang/OTP experience, AI agent development experience, observability tooling experience, Docker and production deployment experience, international team experience, manufacturing or supply chain exposure, and 10+ years of professional experience in technical environments.
