Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain customer-facing features for acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetization.
- Partner with Product, Design, Data, Marketing, and Customer Success to identify growth opportunities and guide product decisions.
- Design, implement, and analyze experiments using feature flags, A/B testing, and analytics.
- Build reliable instrumentation and event pipelines to understand customer behavior.
- Write maintainable code and contribute to architecture, technical design, and platform improvements.
- Improve the performance, reliability, accessibility, and scalability of critical user journeys.
- Mentor engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to roadmap planning, technical strategy, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building and operating production software.
- Strong proficiency with modern web applications and experience with TypeScript, React, Node.js, and MongoDB or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP), the broader AI tooling ecosystem, and emerging AI technologies.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
- Experience building customer-facing products with Product and Design teams.
- Experience using analytics, data, business metrics, and product experiments to inform engineering and product decisions.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals including system design, testing, observability, and operational excellence.
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, influence technical decisions, take ownership of ambiguous problems, and drive projects from concept to delivery.
- Experience mentoring other engineers.
- Experience on a Growth or Engagement team or in product engineering focused on experimentation and customer lifecycle improvements.
- Experience with A/B testing, feature flagging, or similar experimentation frameworks.
