Base Salary
$100k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and scale Rho’s finance platform using Python and related backend technologies.
- Develop web applications and services with attention to performance, load, and latency trade-offs.
- Design and implement distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Deploy applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.
- Coordinate technical work across multiple partners and stakeholders in a complex, regulated environment.
- Mentor junior engineers as applicable.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Python, asynchronous programming, and performance optimization.
- Experience building web applications and services.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and event-driven architectures, including trade-offs for higher load and lower latency.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience working in complex, regulated environments and coordinating across stakeholders.
- Experience in a startup or enterprise within a highly technical market segment such as AI, security, finance, blockchain, or infrastructure.
- Nice to have proficiency in Go, TypeScript, Ruby, or similar technologies.
- Nice to have experience deploying applications with Docker and Kubernetes, using message brokers and event-streaming platforms, or working with GCP or AWS.
- Nice to have experience in finance, payment networks such as ACH, Fedwire, and SWIFT, accounting, or financial software.
- Nice to have experience mentoring junior engineers.
