Responsibilities
- Develop, establish, and improve the GitOps infrastructure approach for non-Kubernetes on-premises infrastructure.
- Support domain experts in developing automation processes through coaching and hands-on creation of playbooks.
- Define, document, and integrate global automation principles and processes into ITSM tools.
- Maintain and extend automation platforms and tools including GitLab, Ansible, AAP, Python frameworks, and Terraform.
- Ensure the security, scalability, and high availability of automation platforms.
- Participate in 24x7 third-level incident-resolution support to maintain highly available infrastructure operations.
- Research and integrate relevant industry trends and advancements.
- Train and mentor colleagues in infrastructure automation principles and practices.
Requirements
- Completed degree or vocational training in computer science or a comparable field.
- Strong expertise in on-premises infrastructure automation involving Linux, VMware, Citrix, NetApp, Windows, and Active Directory.
- Experience with GitLab, Ansible, AAP, Python, and Terraform.
- Deep understanding of infrastructure management processes and their optimization through automation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with architects and other teams.
- Experience training and supporting colleagues in infrastructure automation principles and practices.
- German language proficiency at C1 level and English proficiency at least at B2 level.
- Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer in DevOps are advantageous.
