Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software for financial processes.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle from design through deployment.
Build financial features, products, reports, and automation using Go, Python, and SQL.
Design and maintain scalable distributed architecture and commercial APIs.
Improve financial reconciliation, reporting, compliance, data integrity, and automation workflows using accounting expertise.
Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics, including production monitoring and alerting.
Provide software systems support and consulting to internal stakeholders.
Develop testable, high-quality features that meet coding, reporting, regulatory, and industry standards.
Coordinate with stakeholders to design products and drive continuous improvement through metrics.
Mentor engineering teammates and help shape technical direction.

At least 7 years of full-stack software engineering experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience building and serving APIs using Go, Java, Python, or a similar language.
Experience with Claude or an equivalent large language model tool is required.
Experience bringing forward ideas and building consensus on technical direction.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, and Go.
Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL and commercial APIs or web applications.
Prior accounting or financial analyst experience is preferred.
Understanding of reconciliation, financial reporting, compliance, banking, or financial institution operations is preferred.
Familiarity with observability platforms such as Prometheus, New Relic, or Datadog is preferred.
Familiarity with containerized microservice architecture deployed with Kubernetes on AWS is preferred.
