Base Salary
$174k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership applying data analysis and AI techniques to sponsor mission problems.
- Select, fine-tune, deploy, and evaluate AI models for forecasting, classification, triage, and other applications.
- Design and implement data normalization and ETL functions for studies and analysis.
- Define and execute hypotheses, experiments, and technical studies with small teams.
- Prototype technical approaches, demonstrate mission value, and document results for transition into production.
- Discuss study results and formulate technical approaches for wider production use.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of AI experience with a bachelor's degree, 1 year with a master's degree, or a PhD with 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of AI-related education and work experience.
- Hands-on experience fine-tuning, deploying, and evaluating large language models and/or Agentic AI.
- Experience with Python and AI frameworks such as HuggingFace, PyTorch, and/or MLflow.
- Ability to independently learn new technologies, methods, frameworks, platforms, and systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph and U.S. citizenship eligibility for a government security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, deployed AI/ML systems used outside experimental settings, experience leading small or medium-sized teams, MLOps deployment experience, and HPC experience for training large models.
