Base Salary
$170k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Work across Convex APIs, plugins, and AI framework integrations for agentic applications and agents.
- Identify gaps in how developers use Convex and own solutions to address them.
- Prioritize projects independently with the Head of AI Ergonomics, engineering team, and CTO.
- Create demos, examples, and working customer engagements that demonstrate Convex's capabilities.
- Build software at the frontier of AI application development.
- Participate in occasional on-call support and respond to rare nighttime pages when needed.
Requirements
- Experience building developer-facing products, APIs, or tooling is valued.
- Strong instincts for creating intuitive developer tools and composable APIs are desired.
- Genuine curiosity about how AI is changing software development is expected.
- Ability to write high-quality code; TypeScript experience is a plus.
- Ability to work across system layers and develop a deep understanding of Convex systems.
- Experience or enthusiasm for working in a high-growth startup environment.
- Interest in working in person in San Francisco or experience working remotely with strong self-direction.
- Architectural judgment, conceptual thinking, simplicity, pragmatism, tenacity, and a constructive approach are valued.
