Responsibilities
- Perform manual and automated QA testing for Service Aware Operating System and IP switching platform software features.
- Write and execute tests using Python or similar dynamic languages and automated testing frameworks.
- Analyze and critique software functionality, investigate defects, describe symptoms, and propose diagnostic approaches.
- Set up and triage networking hardware and test network virtualization and cloud network environments.
- Document technical findings and collaborate with engineering teams while managing assigned priorities independently.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MCA, M.Tech, B.Tech, or similar qualification in Computer Science, IT, Electronics and Communication, or a related field.
- Experience writing tests in Python or similar dynamic languages.
- Knowledge and demonstrated use of Linux, preferably Debian, containers, and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, Robot Framework, and the Atlassian toolset including Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira is advantageous.
- Knowledge of network routers, switches, routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP, and network services such as DHCP and DNS.
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle, networking hardware setup and triage, cloud networks or network virtualization, and open source contribution is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, technical documentation, organization, collaboration, and independent working skills.
