Responsibilities
- Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems.
- Participate in all activities associated with the software development lifecycle.
- Support software process requirements and reviews as needed.
- Collaborate on an agile software development team supporting the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- 8–10 years of experience in software development, maintenance, or support in areas including open/layered architecture, operating environments, model-based tools, information assurance, tools development, safety analysis, real-time system data analysis, problem analysis, or system integration.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python.
- Experience with scaled agile software development principles.
- Experience with object-oriented design and development, design patterns, software insulation techniques, and plugins.
- Experience working with Linux and UNIX environments.
- Strong skills with integrated development environments such as Eclipse.
- Familiarity with UML syntax and its use.
- Familiarity with driver-based and automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance or other applicable authorization.
- Preferred experience with Clearcase, JIRA, xUnit Framework, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 lifecycle processes and procedures, and assemblers.
