Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand railway signalling system requirements.
  • Develop and configure software applications for railway signalling systems.
  • Create technical documentation and application design deliverables.
  • Define technical solutions in accordance with railway rules, standards, and regulations.
  • Participate in verification, testing, and validation activities.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and support problem resolution.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in tools, methods, and engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with system engineers, testers, and project teams across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working with technical systems, software applications, or systems engineering.
  • Experience with requirements, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of computer systems, operating systems, networking, or software environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Basic Swedish understanding or motivation to develop Swedish toward professional working proficiency.
  • Experience with railway signalling or other safety-critical industries is advantageous.
  • Experience with CENELEC safety standards such as EN50126, EN50128, or EN50129 is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of systems integration, verification, or validation activities is advantageous.
