Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the software development team’s day-to-day technical activities and delivery outcomes.
  • Design, develop, test, and document software solutions using Agile and DevSecOps practices.
  • Lead technical reviews and guide engineering teams on quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Set technical direction within the software team and promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and collaborate across engineering teams and locations.

Requirements

  • Strong software development skills, with Rust experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and set technical direction within a DevSecOps software development approach.
  • Academic qualification in a STEM-related subject.
  • Ability and willingness to become recognised as a Chartered Engineer through an appropriate recognised professional institution.
  • Applicants must achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard clearance; some roles may require higher national security vetting and be subject to security and export control restrictions.
