Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Partner Integrations

Base Salary
$141k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own cloud partner integrations from design and implementation through production operation.
- Define architecture for authentication and identity flows, multi-tenancy, data movement, performance, and production behavior.
- Own the infrastructure, CI, deployment, and observability supporting the integrations.
- Build on external platforms and manage risks across systems and trust boundaries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to establish interfaces and keep dependent work progressing.
- Set technical defaults and direction for the growing team and document key decisions in technical design documents.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software-building experience, including substantial work on data-heavy or integration-focused systems.
- Strong backend and systems experience with deployment topology, multi-tenancy, data movement, and architectural tradeoffs.
- Experience with modern authentication protocols, service principals, and identity federation across trust boundaries.
- Experience building on external platforms with incomplete documentation or breaking changes.
- Ability to make sound decisions under ambiguity and identify difficult-to-reverse technical choices.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams outside the role’s direct ownership.
- Primarily backend experience with enough JavaScript and TypeScript knowledge to contribute when useful.
- Comfort using AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot transparently and effectively.
- Strong written communication for design documents, pull requests, and RFCs.
- Preferred: familiarity with major cloud data or analytics platform ecosystems.
- Preferred: depth in authentication and identity federation or experience with partner marketplaces and certification processes.
- Preferred: experience designing multi-tenant SaaS platforms and their isolation and deployment topology.
- Preferred: working knowledge of ClickHouse or another columnar/OLAP engine.
