Base Salary
$214k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize Kubernetes platform capabilities across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Drive reliability, security, scalability, developer productivity, Infrastructure-as-Code, and GitOps initiatives.
- Partner with engineering, security, and product teams on platform roadmaps and reliability goals.
- Provide technical leadership during major incidents, architecture reviews, platform transformations, and infrastructure investments.
- Mentor senior engineers and improve engineering practices through code reviews, design reviews, operational excellence, and automated remediation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 12+ years designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems in production.
- 7+ years operating Kubernetes platforms and cloud-native infrastructure in production, including multi-cluster environments.
- Expertise with AWS, Azure, GCP, on-premises, or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting networking architectures for large-scale Kubernetes platforms, including CNI implementations and service mesh.
- Experience with Terraform and ArgoCD.
- Experience implementing SRE practices such as SLOs, SLIs, incident management, production readiness reviews, and automated remediation.
- Preferred experience migrating monolithic applications to microservices architecture.
- Preferred knowledge of switching, routing, Wi-Fi, and IoT networking concepts.
- Preferred advanced knowledge of observability tools, distributed-systems monitoring, automation, and self-service developer platforms.
Benefits
- U.S. and Canada starting salary range of $214,100.00 to $309,800.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits.
