Base Salary

$170k - $265k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Implement Starshield’s cyber defense strategy and develop countermeasures against emerging threats.
  • Conduct red-team exercises, vulnerability discovery efforts, internal bug hunts, and vulnerability triage.
  • Improve incident discovery and response capabilities for active network intrusions.
  • Collaborate with engineers implementing security features and developing internal incident discovery tools.
  • Assess cyber threats and prepare the team for immediate response to active attacks.
  • Use current tools, including AI, to accelerate vulnerability discovery and bug remediation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer security, or a similar field plus 5+ years of professional cybersecurity experience for active production systems, or 7+ years of that experience.
  • Experience implementing systems for adversary detection and incident response.
  • Expertise in computer networks, large-scale distributed compute platforms, vulnerability discovery and triage.
  • Experience with continuity of operations planning and Blue Team or Red Team assessments.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences, handle ambiguity, and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Applicants must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.
  • An active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

  • Base salary range is $170,000.00-$265,000.00 annually, with potential long-term incentives, bonuses, and employee stock purchase opportunities.
