Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance Android SDKs and on-device services, with iOS work as the cross-platform footprint grows.
- Improve package-manager reliability, dynamic app delivery, installation success, and recovery paths across fragmented devices and operating systems.
- Partner with OEM and carrier integration teams to ship features within platform, privacy, and resource constraints.
- Extend on-device surfaces supporting alternative distribution and brand-on-device experiences.
- Own the full lifecycle of services, including instrumentation, alerting, rollout strategy, A/B experimentation, monitoring, debugging, and on-call.
- Improve code quality through reviews, automated testing, and tooling, and mentor engineers on mobile best practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years building production mobile software.
- Deep Android expertise with Kotlin and Java, plus a working command of native internals.
- Working knowledge of asynchronous programming, concurrency, memory and battery profiling, data structures, and mobile design patterns.
- Experience shipping SDKs, libraries, or framework-level code consumed by other developers.
- Experience operating software in production at scale, including monitoring, debugging field issues, and staged rollouts.
- Experience with iOS, Swift, or Objective-C is a strong plus.
- Experience with AdTech, mobile measurement or attribution, on-device ML inference, OEM or carrier preload constraints, Android system apps, device-management contexts, alternative app stores, or in-app purchase and payments flows is beneficial.
Benefits
- Hybrid work environment; only candidates local to the posting location will be considered.
- Opportunity to work on an autonomous team responsible for products end to end at carrier and OEM scale.
