Base Salary
$128k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end ML pipelines covering data ingestion, feature engineering, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Productionize models and services with robust testing, observability, and documentation.
- Build CI/CD workflows and automated evaluations to support safe, frequent releases.
- Collaborate with domain scientists and platform engineers to translate research insights into performant, scalable systems.
- Contribute to technical design reviews, coding standards, and mentoring on engineering best practices.
Requirements
- A BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong Python software engineering fundamentals, including testing, packaging, and typing.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and Hugging Face.
- Experience deploying ML services to production in cloud-based infrastructure, including FastAPI or gRPC, containers, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience deploying LLMs or multimodal models in production systems, including work with databases and RAG.
- Strong debugging and profiling skills.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional settings.
- Exposure to materials, chemistry, physics, or related scientific and engineering data formats or benchmarks is preferred.
- GPU optimization experience with CUDA, Triton, compilation, or distributed training is preferred.
- Prior contributions to open-source ML or scientific software are preferred.
- Experience with workflow orchestration, data provenance, or large-scale compute environments is preferred.
