Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain production mobile applications using React Native, Expo, and TypeScript.
- Build mobile screens and improve interfaces across iOS and Android.
- Translate high-fidelity designs into pixel-accurate, responsive, and visually polished mobile experiences.
- Develop interactive features involving conversational interfaces, content presentation, and user interactions.
- Implement smooth animations, transitions, navigation, and native-feeling interactions.
- Build reusable React Native components using modern React patterns and hooks.
- Integrate frontend features with backend APIs and collaborate on API contracts.
- Troubleshoot UI issues, performance bottlenecks, and platform-specific inconsistencies.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable, and documented code.
- Participate in code reviews and deliver small, reviewable commits.
- Occasionally contribute to React-based web interfaces.
- Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize work, and deliver improvements.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience building and shipping production React Native applications.
- Strong hands-on React Native experience and strong TypeScript proficiency.
- Strong experience with modern React, including hooks and component-based architecture.
- Experience with Expo or comparable React Native development workflows.
- Experience delivering production mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Ability to translate high-fidelity designs into polished mobile interfaces with strong attention to UI consistency, typography, spacing, animations, transitions, and native interactions.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with REST APIs or similar backend services.
- Experience maintaining and enhancing existing production applications.
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Ability to understand and contribute to existing codebases independently.
- Experience with code reviews and collaborative development workflows.
- Clear communication and reliable availability during agreed working hours.
- Preferred experience with React 19, advanced Expo, Mapbox, react-native-maps, conversational or real-time messaging interfaces, streaming AI or LLM-powered interfaces, PostHog, feature flags, analytics instrumentation, React with Vite, AI coding agents, startups, or fast-moving products.
